SOLVY is used as a topping over towels, polo shirts etc, and not only helps to stabilise the fabric, but also helps to improve the details of the embroidery. It gives a cleaner finish to fabrics such as polar fleece and knit fabric by holding dense fibres or pile in place, whilst the design is being stitched out and prevents the fabric from showing through the design. SOLVY is a film that should be placed on top of the item during the framing up stage, and is pulled away from the stitching when the design is complete. The small amount of topping left dissolves when lightly sprayed with water.
